Define a qualified lead

Before building a form, decide what makes a lead valuable to the business. Volume alone can be misleading.

Choose the exchange

Give the visitor a credible reason to provide contact information, whether that is a useful resource, consultation, assessment, quote, demo, or event.

Reduce form friction

Ask only for information needed at that stage. Every additional field should have a reason to exist.

Create the next step

The thank-you experience should explain what happens next. That may be a resource delivery, booking step, email, or qualifying action.

Measure quality, not just quantity

Track downstream outcomes when possible. A smaller number of relevant leads can be more valuable than a large list with weak intent.
